CELEBRATING the 4th of July.

Dustin getting ready for the Parade and the gobs of candy they throw out in Leadore.
Daniel and his Brother Micheal waiting for the parade. Daniel was happier then he looks. =>
Bradley got to be in the parade this year riding his 65. He was fried and decided maybe catching candy next year is the way to go.
Yes even Tiny got to enjoy the parade with us. ( don't mind the hillbilly leash we had to rig up I forgot her leash at home. )This is this years derby car. Daniel got to pit. We were surprised to see it going down the parade route because it was leaking oil very badly. But alas it's a derby car and man can they handle alot. =>
Daniel on the back and his friend George on the front driving. They entered this fun to watch game where the person on the back of the machine wears a ballon attached to their helment and have to protect their ballon while trying to beat the other people over the head in order to pop their ballon. Daniel says he had a hard time holding on because George was going so fast trying to keep away. It was funny.

Our Fourth of July this year we again decided heading to Leadore Idaho was a great way to celebrate. So we packed up the camper and headed up there for the weekend.
It was GREAT. The first day we were there we went to the demo Derby. It was great this time because instead of sitting in the stands wondering when we could catch the next beer or trying to keep the kids from tripping every last person coming down the stairs, we were in the pit's watching the boys and the show at the same time. It was much more fun that way.
The next day we got up early ( well kinda early ) for the firemans pancake breakfast, it was great. Then we enjoyed the fun parade, the kids really enjoyed the candy part and Bradley got to be in the parade on his 65. After the parade or more like during the parade we enjoyed a few drinks of the adult kind. Yes it was early in the day but hey thats what holidays are all about up there. We also got to enjoy alittle bit of the rodeo before we decided it was time to head back to cool off. It was a bit toasty while we were hanging out.
Towards the end of the evening more of us were feeling "happy". We headed to the bar which is across the street and enjoyed some drinks and dancing before the firework show. The kids enjoyed it because we were across the street and knew right where we were if they needed us. They gave out Moonshine soaked pieces of apple. Wow. The taste was awful but the effect was quick and fun. I couldn't stop laughing it didn't matter what was happening I was just laughing. My sides actually hurt still from all the laughing. After the fireworks we headed back to the camper to enjoy some fireworks of our own.
I'd like to say we stayed up all night long and watched the sun come up , but I think we fell asleep around 12:30 guess the moon shine was too much for us.
In all it was a WONDERFUL weekend and can't wait to do it again.
Too bad the 4th of July only happens once a year. Hope every one else enjoyed their holiday weekend just as much.
