February catch up.

So at the beginning of this month we got to go to VEGAS. Daniel decided since there was an auction down in Vegas we would all go down and have fun for a couple days. We spent Thursday night on the road and Friday at the auction. It was kinda neat to watch so many things go up for bid and see how every thing worked. We were going to bid on a few trucks and a huge camper toyhauler. O my hell it was a dream camper for racers. It was 45ft long with 4 tipouts. It had an extra long garage and 4 beds plus two couch pull outs. We waited all day from 7-4 for this camper to go through. When it did go for bid it went the same time as the trucks Daniel wanted (thank god cause I wasn't wanting to drive home in the crappy weather) so we didn't end up getting any bids on the trucks. We didn't want to bid more then $30,000, although the camper was more then worth that. So they started the bid with $20,000 Daniel let the crowd go just to get a feel, then 25 then 27 then 35 then 41 within seconds the bid was more then we wanted. Some one else took it with $41,000 we were so disappointed but we decided it just wasn't meant to be oh well there are more out there.

So then we headed off to Fremont Street. We decided this time we would go there instead of staying on the strip the kids would like it more. Even though Vegas isn't really for kids. It took us a while to find our hotel because Daniel isn't so good with direction or at least my directions lol. It was a fun time we usually have fun being lost as long as we don't have to make a potty stop or the kids aren't starving as well. But of course Dustin is always starving. When we went out we got to see the huge t.v. show over the strip , we also saw the dirtbike riders in the globe 3 at a time that was pretty awesome, then we saw an awesome rattlecan painter doing amazing pictures with just spray cans, then of course all the other things or should I say people that go along with Vegas.

The next day we went to the strip and we got rained on the whole time it wasn't too bad as long as we had our umbrellas. We took the kids to see the tigers and lions for Segfred and Roy they were soooo beautiful. And the dolphins as well we had a porn star dolphin trying to give us a show not something the kids needed to see let alone remember (what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas right?). After that we took the boys to HOOTERS yes Hooters, they have a porchdog deck for any one under 21 the boys were disappointed because that was the G rated girls section. Yes my boys are all BOY no doubt about it. Daniel swore the food is really good but I didn't really care for it. We've had better. Then after Hooters we did more walking. We seen everything to see with kids and then went back to our Hotel on Fremont street. I must say it was alright but not the best.

Then the last day we took our time leaving town and ended up taking the kids to the top of the Stratisphere Dustin loved looking out but Bradley well not so much. Bradley and Daniel stayed as far away from the edge as they could. Like Father like son. As we were on our way home we decided to stay another night and spend it in Mesquite that was the most fun night we spent all weekend. MY father in law and his lovely girlfriend met up with us there and we spent the evening having fun. Amanda and I went and tried our luck with the slots and Daniel and the boys spent time bull shitting with Papa. They had fun we had fun . I actually won 3 dollars and got drunk for free while playing, if you knew me you'd know thats pretty good cause I NEVER win anything. Then Monday we headed home for real on our way home we made a stop in St.George so Daniel could do some work at their store there and while we waited in the truck it began to snow honestly it only snows in the desert when we are there I think.By the time we left from St. George we were in a blizzard heading up the pass. It was horrible semi trucks were stuck on the pass trying to go up , they ended up chaining up because it was so slick. Thank god we have fourwheel drive , and thank god I wasn't the driver. woohoo. All the way to SLC the roads were bad. In all our Vacation was pretty pleasant , honestly any where we go as a family is always nice no matter the places we end up, or how bad the driving is.

Playing Catch up

So for the last month I have had my computer in getting fixed. For those of you who didn't know it's very bad for your laptop if you drop numerous times. :) I find these things out the hard way I assume. So now it's time to do some catch up with every thing that has been going on around here. I'll do so in a couple blogs to break it up and not have it jump back and forth and get every one confused. LOL.
First we will start with January it was a busy month really. Both of my sisters had a birthday in that month and we always have fun at birthdays in our family. It's a time We ALL get together with all of the kids and have a nice night of catch up time. I see every one every week at least once a week but never everyone at the same time.

First we had my sister BK's birthday on the 20 can you believe she is 25 already gees time sure flies when you get older. It was fun both of my nephews were on one that night and they are always fun when they are together. What one doestn't think of the other will. And Papa well he isn't a patient man so they try his patients more often then they should. The rest of us seem to get a good laugh though.

Then we had my youngest sister Mirandas Birthday already 20 wow. One more year and we will have to show her a good time. Not that her husband would go for it cause he is a bit of a party pooper. lol. But we had fun this year as well. Daniel being Daniel always has patron and oj with him so it wasn't a sober night to say the least we enjoyed our night. As always Taidyn and Logyn were together causing trouble but being funny at the same time. It was a blast.

And that pretty much sums up January for ya. If it wasn't for the birthdays we would of had a pretty boring month.
