Daniel had heard from a few customers in Driggs of a beautiful place to take a hike.
So this last weekend we decided with little to nothing to do that a hike was the right thing to do.
He decided the Wind Caves and the Falls in Darby Canyon would be a neat place to check out, what he didn't know was that the hike was a 4 hour one.
Despite my lack of hiking skills and Dustin's awful cough from his horrible allergies ( which yes he is getting tested for coming in the next 3 weeks ) we made it to our distanation. Well actually we didn't make it inside the caves and on the falls but we made it far enough to see and take pictures of them.
Hiking up was a challenge but the hike down was hella easy. Now we've decided it's time to get into shape and head our butts all the way up to the cave. We will see how that goes though. But in the meantime here are some pictures from our hike.

MInnesota n Back
So in between posts for the Fourth of July and my sister's wedding there should of been a post of us going to Minnesota for Daniel's work. Opps my bad.
So here goes it.
Daniel needed a shear picked up for work and no one was able to do so in time , so we decided a free trip to Minnesota driving 19 hours there and 19 hours back sounded like a good vacation to us.
So we were Minnesota bound 2 days after my sisters wedding.
On the way there the ride wasn't so bad because we were seeing sites we've never seen before and the excitement of some where new was amongst us.
While we were there we stayed at a hotel on the Lake Superior in Duluth. It was beautiful.
We were close to the harbor where the ships and freighters came in and out. We've been to the beach a few times now but the Lake was just as beautiful.
We also took the kids on a train ride up the north shore of the Lake. We can now say we've been by plane, train, boat, and automobile of course.
The trip was short and the drive home was awful because we were still tired of riding in the truck from the drive there. But it was well worth it because we were able to enjoy a place we never would of thought to go if it wasn't for Daniels work.
Here are a few pictures of the trip.

CELEBRATING the 4th of July.
It was GREAT. The first day we were there we went to the demo Derby. It was great this time because instead of sitting in the stands wondering when we could catch the next beer or trying to keep the kids from tripping every last person coming down the stairs, we were in the pit's watching the boys and the show at the same time. It was much more fun that way.
The next day we got up early ( well kinda early ) for the firemans pancake breakfast, it was great. Then we enjoyed the fun parade, the kids really enjoyed the candy part and Bradley got to be in the parade on his 65. After the parade or more like during the parade we enjoyed a few drinks of the adult kind. Yes it was early in the day but hey thats what holidays are all about up there. We also got to enjoy alittle bit of the rodeo before we decided it was time to head back to cool off. It was a bit toasty while we were hanging out.
Towards the end of the evening more of us were feeling "happy". We headed to the bar which is across the street and enjoyed some drinks and dancing before the firework show. The kids enjoyed it because we were across the street and knew right where we were if they needed us. They gave out Moonshine soaked pieces of apple. Wow. The taste was awful but the effect was quick and fun. I couldn't stop laughing it didn't matter what was happening I was just laughing. My sides actually hurt still from all the laughing. After the fireworks we headed back to the camper to enjoy some fireworks of our own.
I'd like to say we stayed up all night long and watched the sun come up , but I think we fell asleep around 12:30 guess the moon shine was too much for us.
In all it was a WONDERFUL weekend and can't wait to do it again.
Too bad the 4th of July only happens once a year. Hope every one else enjoyed their holiday weekend just as much.
