Hobbies

So as a kid I've always enjoyed taking pictures of every thing and every one. (never mind the fact I hate having my own picture taken.) I've always had the nice camera and ambition to take many photos but here recently I've lost the artistic approach of taking pictures. Until the other day when my little sister asked if I would take some pictures of my sweet niece for the newspaper baby parade. I think I've fallen in love with taking pictures all over again.

I love taking pictures of people mostly specially little rug rats that can't seem to sit still or find their smiles when the camera is out. They make me laugh and I enjoy the funny faces they make. So any ways I just figured since I don't have much of anything else to write about I thought maybe I'd share my all time favorite hobby with you all. Hope you enjoy them? I know I'm not a pro but it's fun none the less.Shyann 2 and a 1/2 months Bradley and Dustin 2007 Logyn 2008 Bradley and Daniel 2008Taidyn 2008

Winter Beauty

Ok I know I've posted a blog already about Winter time in Idaho and how much I dislike it, but I have to say when we have the beauty of Winter time, I have to share it. This past week or so we have had warmer temps which has caused some nasty fog, But it also puts frost on the trees and other things that is so beautiful. Instead of leafs and branches you see the long frostsicles that yes make the trees droopy but wow. Take a look and see for yourself.

Happy Birthday to my Dad

This weekend we had a wonderful time with friends and family, although the weekend went way too fast. Saturday we started our day off as usual (getting up late and taking our time getting dressed). We went to George and Melinda's house and visited for a little while then we went and visited my father in laws house for the night. We had drinks and london broils for dinner. Amanda is my father in laws girlfriend and she always goes out of her way to be a good hostess. We enjoyed a night full of talking and drinking spending half the next morning there as well. Gees 4 am. it has been a long time since I've been up that late.:) Then Sunday we went to Papa Toms Pizza (Daniels favorite place to eat.). My family has never been which is funny to me because seems to me thats our usual place to eat for Daniel and I. We enjoyed pizza , salad and cake for my dads birthday. YUM. All of my sisters and their better halves were there including all the kids. WOW we are growing we had more then 13 people there for dinner. Use to be 6 and we thought that was a lot. After pizza dad opened presents then we visited for a while and we headed home to put kids to bed and get them ready for the school week. Family get togethers are always a blast I love spending time with my family. Even though the weekend went quickly I throughly enjoyed every last minute of it. Hope my dad enjoyed his party just as much.

SNOW HELL.

So every one who lives in Idaho knows how "wonderful" the snow has been this year. I hate it personally, I know I'm in the wrong state to hate it yes. But we have had storm after storm with warm ups enough to melt the snow then cold snaps to freeze it on the roads and make them slick as hell. For Christmas there was a mess on the roads no man nor beast could trudge through, 4 wheel drive alone could barely make it out here where we live. I am getting a bit sick of it myself, but I know we have more yet to come our way. So we have decided to make the best of it, dress warm and stay in when the roads are too bad. Or at least I have.Cabin Fever has already set in for me because I am a chicken when it comes to driving on the roads never mind the big 4wheel drive pickup sitting in the driveway. I know I'm safe in it but I just don't want to take the chance.:) Thank god I have Daniels taxi service to take me to the grocery store or I'd have to make the adventure. So I thought I'd share some cold pics with everyone because I'm trying to pass time when the house is already cleaned from top to bottom the kids are at school and I'm all alone, as the snow flies. No it isn't snowing today but it's on it's way.
Here goes.

This is the roads on Christmas pictures don't do them justice. This is the snow storm most recently. It's been a few days since. This is the warm up we had so the boys and Daniel decided it was a good time to make a snow....WOMAN.... Yes snow woman they made her with ALL her parts. LOL.

After the Holidays

Well here we are after Christmas and I've just found the time to sit down and blog alittle about the holidays. What a busy but wonderful two weeks I've had. The kids were out of school for the last two weeks and Daniel took a little time off as well.

First we will start with christmas, it was wonderful. The boys left santa his usual for Christmas eve but then decided they wanted to spice it up and thought to leave him a beer or two just to see if he would drink it. They left a bud light and smirnoff (haha), just to see which he liked. Come to find out Santa likes smirnoff and cookies. Hopefully Santa didn't get too drunk after hitting our house. The boys woke us up at 6 which isn't too bad for most kids I was expecting earlier to be honest. We heard them stooping through the hall to the living room and then heard Dustin yell 'he came he came wow Bradley look what he brought us graphics for our bikes wow they even have our name on them......' (number graphics is what he brought but thats cool with me that they think they are graphics in general). Then they came running to our room yelling come on come on mom dad get up. We opened the rest of our presents , I got an iphone from Daniel and he got the ability to rebuild his bike the way he wants with no complaints from me. Among a few other things. Then we looked out the window and noticed in order to do anything else we had to dig ourselves out of the drive way. The snow came and man did it leave a huge mess. Daniel and the boys plowed the snow as I got ready and then off to Grandmas house we went. First stop Grandma Dena's (my mother in law). Getting there was a chore thank god for 4 wheel drive or else we may of ended up on the side of the road or even stuck in the middle. The drifts were horrible. But as Daniel would say FUN. We enjoyed our time with every one. It was with Dena Jayde Jordan and Ryan. Dena out did herself with gifts as usual. The boys got a WII and a few things to go along with it. They were so excited. After gifts and a visit with every one. We headed to Grandma Kims house (my mom and dads). Leaving with what we thought was plenty of time we soon found out in the time we spent unwrapping gifts the roads got worse. Four wheel drive pickups were all you saw on the roads. WOW. What an Idaho winter. The roads were so bad my little sister and her boyfriend were unable to make it to mom and dads house. Which was disappointing but better to be safe then sorry. We got to moms in one piece and soaked of course. We opened more presents there and had a wonderful dinner as well. Mom and My sister Bk made ham and all the fixings and man was it good. We ended the night of family time around 6:30 and was a good thing we did. Headed home was only a 3 or 4 mile drive but it took us awhile before we could even get there. We made it fine in my big truck ,but our main road was so drifted in other cars couldn't make it down the road. Just as we came within 5 feet of our road to turn we noticed a car got highcentered in the middle of the road. No way around them what so ever. So we backed all the way up the road and went around the block. Daniel of course being Daniel insisted he needed to help the people stuck in the middle of the road. So we threw the chain in the back and headed out again. I must say it was kind of fun with all the snow every where it was crazy but wow. The car was pulled out and off to the house we went. Finishing our Christmas with relaxing heater time and watching the kids have fun playing their new wii. What a Merry Christmas I must say.

We also had a wonderful New Years . This year we decided to have the party at our house. We had my mom dad and all my sisters and their families over. We had drinking and games with alittle in the garage dancing. None of us got so drunk we were sick but we got drunk enough to have fun. Hopefully this is a wonderful start to a wonderful 2009. Wow time sure flies.
