Well here we are after Christmas and I've just found the time to sit down and blog alittle about the holidays. What a busy but wonderful two weeks I've had. The kids were out of school for the last two weeks and Daniel took a little time off as well.
First we will start with christmas, it was wonderful. The boys left santa his usual for Christmas eve but then decided they wanted to spice it up and thought to leave him a beer or two just to see if he would drink it.
They left a bud light and smirnoff (haha), just to see which he liked. Come to find out Santa likes smirnoff and cookies. Hopefully Santa didn't get too drunk after hitting our house. The boys woke us up at 6 which isn't too bad for most kids I was expecting earlier to be honest. We heard them stooping through the hall to the living room and then heard Dustin yell 'he came he came wow Bradley look what he brought us graphics for our bikes wow they even have our name on them......' (number graphics is what he brought but thats cool with me that they think they are graphics in general).
Then they came running to our room yelling come on come on mom dad get up. We opened the rest of our presents , I got an iphone from Daniel and he got the ability to rebuild his bike the way he wants with no complaints from me. Among a few other things. Then we looked out the window and noticed in order to do anything else we had to dig ourselves out of the drive way. The snow came and man did it leave a huge mess.
Daniel and the boys plowed the snow as I got ready and then off to Grandmas house we went. First stop Grandma Dena's (my mother in law). Getting there was a chore thank god for 4 wheel drive or else we may of ended up on the side of the road or even stuck in the middle. The drifts were horrible. But as Daniel would say FUN. We enjoyed our time with every one. It was with Dena Jayde Jordan and Ryan. Dena out did herself with gifts as usual. The boys got a WII and a few things to go along with it.
They were so excited. After gifts and a visit with every one. We headed to Grandma Kims house (my mom and dads). Leaving with what we thought was plenty of time we soon found out in the time we spent unwrapping gifts the roads got worse. Four wheel drive pickups were all you saw on the roads. WOW. What an Idaho winter. The roads were so bad my little sister and her boyfriend were unable to make it to mom and dads house. Which was disappointing but better to be safe then sorry. We got to moms in one piece and soaked of course.
We opened more presents there and had a wonderful dinner as well. Mom and My sister Bk made ham and all the fixings and man was it good. We ended the night of family time around 6:30 and was a good thing we did. Headed home was only a 3 or 4 mile drive but it took us awhile before we could even get there. We made it fine in my big truck ,but our main road was so drifted in other cars couldn't make it down the road. Just as we came within 5 feet of our road to turn we noticed a car got highcentered in the middle of the road. No way around them what so ever. So we backed all the way up the road and went around the block. Daniel of course being Daniel insisted he needed to help the people stuck in the middle of the road. So we threw the chain in the back and headed out again. I must say it was kind of fun with all the snow every where it was crazy but wow. The car was pulled out and off to the house we went. Finishing our Christmas with relaxing heater time and watching the kids have fun playing their new wii. What a Merry Christmas I must say.

This year we decided to have the party at our house. We had my mom dad and all my sisters and their families over. We had drinking and games with alittle in the garage dancing. None of us got so drunk we were sick but we got drunk enough to have fun. Hopefully this is a wonderful start to a wonderful 2009. Wow time sure flies.
